The Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has issued mandatory regulations on certification for hotel businesses. Through the Regulation of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Number PM.53 / HM.001 / MPEK / 2013 on Hotel Business Standards amended through the Regulation of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2014 and Regulation of the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 2019 , each hotel business is required to meet the requirements of Hotel Business Standards and hold a Hotel Business Certificate.
In addition, based on the Regulation of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2014 concerning Travel Service Business Standards amended through Regulation of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 2014, it is stated that each Travel Services Business (including: Travel Bureau) must meet the requirements of a Travel Services Business Standard and hold a Travel Service Business Certificate.
