Kampanye Negatif masih tekan Industri Sawit Nasional

[:id]INFO SAWIT, MEDAN – Kampanye hitam (black campaign) yang terus mendera industri sawit Indonesia dinilai hanya “trik” negara asing khususnya Uni Eropa untuk menekan industri sawit. Sebab, mereka khawatir negara pengimpor sunflower (bunga matahari), soya bean dan rapeseed (minyak kanola), akan beralih ke sawit.

“Sawit Indonesia selalu dibilang tidak sustainable (berkelanjutan). Padahal jika dilihat dari jumlah produksi, masih jauh di bawah bunga matahari, soyabean dan rapeseed. Jadi kenapa hanya sawit yang kerap “dihantam”. Sustainable bukan hanya kelapa sawit. Ini perlu karena luas maupun produksi ketiga produk tersebut ratusan hektare. Tapi kenapa tidak pernah diributkan,” kata Sekjen DPP Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit Indonesia (Apkasindo) Asmar Arsjad, disela-sela sebuah acara Pameran kelapa sawit di Hotel Santika Medan, Kamis seperti kutip Medanbisnis.

Berdasarkan data Apkasindo, luas lahan tanaman kelapa sawit Indonesia sekitar 18,8 juta hektare. Sementara luas lahan bunga matahari 41 juta hektare, soyabean sekitar 103 juta hektare dan lahan rapeseed sekitar 27 juta.

Indonesia memang tercatat masih menjadi penghasil minyak kelapa sawit atau crude palm oil (CPO) dunia dengan kontribusi 53% atau 37 juta ton dari total 62 juta ton. Masih di atas Malaysia yang hanya 37%. Dari jumlah produksi tersebut, Indonesia mengekspor 23 juta ton CPO setiap tahunnya.(T2)

“The Indonesian palm tree is presently said to be unsustainable. On the other hand its quantity of product is far below the product s of sunflower, soybean, and rapeseed and why is palm tree always attacked?”.” ‘Sustainable’ is not only for palm trees but those three mentioned vegetable oil plantations which are in hundreds of hectares was never been harassed.” said the Secretary General of Central Executive Council (DPP) for the palm tree farmers of Indonesia (Apkasindo) Mr. Asmar Arsyad in a palm tree exhibition at Hotel Santika Medan,last Thursday as quoted by Medanbisnis.

According to Apkasindo’s data, the area of Indonesia’s palm tree plantations is 18.8 million hectares, while sunflower’s is 41 million, soybean 103, and rapeseed plantation is about 27 million hectares.

Indonesia is surely still the world’s crude palm oil (CPO) producers with contribution of 53% or 37 million tons of the total 62 million tons. Still above Malaysia which is 37% from the total production. Indonesia exports 23 million of CPO annually.
