ISO 45001:2018

Based on data from the International Labor Organization (ILO) in 2013, 1 worker in the world dies every 15 seconds due to work accidents and 160 workers experience work-related illnesses. The previous year (2012) the ILO recorded the number of deaths due to accidents and occupational diseases (PAK) of 2 million cases each year. Data from BPJS Employment at the end of 2015 showed that there had been 105,182 work accidents with 2,375 deaths. To overcome this problem, ISO developed a new standard, ISO 45001 concerning Requirements for Occupational safety & health management systems, which was previously the OHSAS standard.

ISO 45001 is an international standard that stipulates requirements for an Occupational safety & health management system which is equipped with guidelines and how to use it, thereby enabling an organization to proactively improve Occupational safety & health performance in an effort to prevent injury and illness / health problems at work. It will also help organizations reduce this burden by providing a framework for improving employee safety, reducing occupational risks and creating safer and better working conditions, worldwide.
