21 Okt PENGUATAN KELEMBAGAAN SERTIFIKASI SAWIT SUDAH MENDESAK DILAKUKAN
[:id]Pemerintah terus memperbaiki penerapan sertifikat pembangunan kelapa sawit berkelanjutan atau Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO). Hal ini dilakukan agar produk minyak sawit Indonesia punya standar baku yang sama dan memenuhi standar sawit berkelanjutan serta mendorong kepemilikan sertifikat ISPO bagi perusahaan sawit kecil maupun besar.
Senin (3/10/2016) bertempat di kantor Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian, di Jalan Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta, diadakan pertemuan membahas masalah penguatan kelembagaan sertifikasi ISPO. Selain dihadiri Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian, Darmin Nasution, turut hadir Menteri Perdagangan, Enggartiasto Lukita dan Menteri Perindustrian, Airlangga Hartarto
“Harus meng-address (mencakup) seluruh pihak, sehingga sustainable itu dari seluruh Indonesia dan itu nanti kelembagaan akan disempurnakan,” kata Menteri Perindustrian Airlangga Hartarto.
Menurut Airlangga, meski ISPO sudah berlaku sejak lama, masih banyak kebun sawit yang belum mengikuti sertifikasi sawit berkelanjutan. Penguatan kelembagaan sertifikasi sawit, menurutnya, sudah mendesak dilakukan lantaran beberapa negara tujuan ekspor semakin ketat mensyaratkan aspek keberlanjutan.
Mutuagung Lestari merupakan salah satu lembaga sertifikasi ISPO yang ditunjuk oleh Kementerian Pertanian dan Komisi ISPO, mendukung untuk terus berkomitmen dalam penerapan kelapa sawit berkelanjutan yang sesuai dengan prinsip dan indikator sebagai bahan acuan dalam melakukan audit.
Dengan mendukung rencana pemerintah dalam penguatan sertifikasi ISPO, diharapkan perusahaan sawit segera melakukan sertifikasi ISPO sesuai dengan batas waktu yang telah ditentukan.
“Kalau bicara akreditasi, sama kaya ISO 14000, jadi ada efeknya. Kalau perusahaan nggak ikuti maka efeknya barang nggak bisa dijual dimana, ini yang harus diadopsi pemerintah, kalau wajib beda lagi, rezim akreditasi bukan rezim wajib,” jelas Airlangga.

This is done in order that Indonesian palm oil products applied same sustainable palm oil official standard and encouraged big and small palm oil companies to apply ISPO certificates.
Last Monday, Oct.3, taking place at the Economic Coordinating Ministry in Jalan Lapangan Banteng Jakarta a meeting was held discussing the enforcement of ISPO Certification institution. Other than the presence of the Minister Darmin Nasution also present was the Minister of Trade: Enggartiasto Lukita and Minister of Industries: Airlangga Hartanto.
“It should be addressed to all parties, so that sustainable itself from all Indonesia and the institution will be perfected.” Said Minister of Industries Airlangga Hartanto. According to him, although ISPO application applied sometimes ago, still many palm oil plantations not following the sustainable palm tree certification rules. The enforcement of palm tree certification institution, according to him, was urgently to be executed as several export destination countries are becoming strict in conditioning sustainable aspects.
Mutuagung Lestari is one of ISPO certification institution appointed by the Ministry of Agriculture and ISPO Commission, supported and committed to the sustainable palm tree applications in accordance with principles and indicators as the base for audit performances. In supporting Government’s plan to enforce ISPO certification it is hoped that all palm tree companies be certified within the recommended time frame
“Speaking about accreditation, it is like the ISO 14000. So there is a consequence and if companies do not comply products cannot be sold. This should be adopted by the Government, there will be difference as the accreditation regime is not a compliance regime.” Explained Airlangga.
