PT Mutuagung Lestari Tbk (Mutu International) has received recognition from the US EPA on June 27 2018 as a Third Party Certifier under recognition of collaboration with CARB. PT. Mutuagung Lestari Tbk (Mutu International) previously received approval from CARB as a Certification Body (Third Party Certifier) ​​through Executive Order W-08-06 and has an assign number: TPC-6.

With this recognition, EPA gave authority to PT. Mutuagung Lestari (Mutu International) to carry out certification activities for composite wood producers under the Toxic Control Substances Act (TSCA) Title VI Code of Federal Register (CFR) Part 770: Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products.

 

The Role of Third Party Certification Bodies (TPC)

  1. Verify the accuracy of the emissions testing procedures and facilities used by the manufacturer to conduct formaldehyde emissions testing.
  2. Monitor the manufacturer’s quality assurance program as set forth in the Toxic Control Substances Act (TSCA) Title VI Code of the Federal Register (CFR) Parts 770.10 – 770.45
  3. Provide independent audits and inspections.
