Validation/Verification of GreenHouse Gas (GHG) Statements

Greenhouse Gasses (GHG) are gasses in the atmosphere that are able to absorb infrared radiation, so they will capture and retain the sun’s heat energy in the atmosphere. By increasing heat in the atmosphere, greenhouse gasses are responsible for the greenhouse effect, which ultimately leads to global warming. Various efforts to reduce the effects of global warming due to greenhouse gas emissions have been carried out by various institutions, both government and private agencies together with– together to formulate standards for reducing GHG emissions. PT Mutuagung Lestari Tbk as a conformity assessment institution for the GHG scheme has the following scope of activities:

  1.  Project validation and verification based on ISO 14064-2: A set of greenhouse gas management systems that provides sustainability programs for organizations to improve the efficiency of energy management in their business activities. (Accredited by the National Accreditation Committee)
  2. Joint Credit Mechanism (JCM): Joint Committee between the Governments of Japan and Indonesia which has a vision to reduce carbon emissions through energy savings by applying high energy efficiency technology for business activities in the service, processing and/or manufacturing industries. (Recognized by the National Accreditation Committee)
