World perspective for sustainable forest management done has become absolutely by all forest management units. Since there are many cases on forest encroachment and forest destruction as the consequence of uncontrolled logging must be able to be abolished from the community’s perception, therefore it is necessary to apply the Sustainable Forest Management (SFM). SFM is one of efforts to encourage the producer and buyers having high commited to SFM materialize the sustainable forest management.
Scheme of SFM Certification There are two schemes of SFM certification, such as:
FSC® Scheme (www.fsc.org), is a scheme created by the non-profit organization, non-government, by using special system to promote the responsible forest management through the determination of standard,independent certification and label in forest produces.

PEFC™ Scheme (www.pefc.org), is a scheme created by the non-profit organization, non – government, by applying certification system of which the appraisal is made by the third party assessment which is done continuously to ensure that the results of the timber and non-timber production meet the standards of ecological, social, and economy.
