26 Mar Sertifikat Petani Swasta ISCC Pertama Dunia

[:id]Para petani independen dari Jambi telah menerima sertifikat ISCC pertama mereka.Ini dirayakan pada 26 Maret di Swiss Belhotel di Kota Jambi dengan sekitar 100 peserta, mitra proyek seperti SNV, Pemerintah dan perwakilan perusahaan.Sertifikat ini didasarkan pada pendekatan petani kecil yang inovatif, yang dikembangkan sebagai bagian dari proyek Berbak Green Prosperity yang didanai bersama oleh MCA Indonesia dan didukung oleh Mott MacDonald.

Acara ini dimoderatori oleh Dr. Erwin Widodo, yang juga merupakan perwakilan dari Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA) di Asia Tenggara. Konferensi pers juga diselenggarakan pada hari itu, sehingga pertanyaan dari pers telah dijawab secara resmi.

Acara ini dihadiri oleh Wakil Gubernur Jambi, Dr. H. Fachrory Umar dan Poprianto Bustami, Ketua Komisi IV, Majelis Rendah dan Kepala Dinas Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Ucapan selamat datang diberikan oleh Imron Rosadi, Kepala Badan Investasi diikuti dengan pidato pembukaan dari Wakil Gubernur. Sertifikat ISCC yang dikeluarkan oleh lembaga sertifikasi Mutuagung Lestari diserahkan oleh Wakil Gubernur kepada Sufyan, Manajer Sertifikasi Grup KUD Makarti.

Hans Smit, Kepala Program Global Palm SNV dan Dani Rahadian Hidayat, Penasihat Kelapa Sawit, SNV memberikan rincian tentang proyek dan bagaimana menyiapkan sertifikasi petani kecil.Andreas Feige, Managing Director ISCC menjelaskan konsep Sertifikasi Independent Smallholder yang memungkinkan petani kecil untuk mengakses pasar internasional untuk kelapa sawit bebas yang sepenuhnya dapat dilacak dan bebas deforestasi dengan harga yang kompetitif, sehingga menghilangkan kebutuhan untuk ekspansi lebih lanjut ke kawasan hutan.Sufyan dari KUD Makarti berbagi pengalamannya selama proyek dan memberikan umpan balik tentang tantangan dan manfaat dari para petani.Dia diikuti oleh Martinus Nata, Direktur, Prosympac yang menjelaskan peran pabrik dan memberikan pandangan tentang rencana pabrik dalam cara mengintegrasikan ribuan petani kecil dalam waktu dekat.Bernard Alexander Riedo, Direktur, Asian Agri dan Dr. Haskalianus Pasang, Kepala Kebijakan dan Kepatuhan Keberlanjutan, Sinarmas memberikan wawasan tentang tujuan perusahaan mereka dan rencana mereka dalam memperluas basis pasokan petani kecil mereka.Last but not least Andreas Feige mempresentasikan APP ponsel petani kecil dan database GRAS serta alat manajemen risiko yang memungkinkan petani kecil untuk menerima respons otomatis apakah sawah mereka memenuhi syarat untuk sertifikasi terutama berkaitan dengan keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi dan area kaya karbon dan deforestasi.Akhirnya para peserta melakukan diskusi kelompok mengenai ISCC dan sertifikasi ISPO, akses ke keuangan mikro, investasi Jambi dan pembangunan kapasitas petani kecil, dimoderatori oleh Dr. Erwin Widodo.Dia juga mengumumkan dalam kapasitasnya sebagai perwakilan TFA bahwa ISCC sedang dalam proses menjadi anggota TFA.

ISCC berterima kasih kepada semua pihak, yang mendukung para petani kecil menjadi tersertifikasi dan berpartisipasi dalam organisasi acara dan kami sangat percaya bahwa ini hanyalah langkah pertama dari jalur yang sangat sukses bagi para petani kecil mandiri di Indonesia.

[:en]Independent smallholders from Jambi have received their first ISCC certificate. This was celebrated on 26 March at Swiss Belhotel in Jambi City with around 100 participants, project partners such as SNV, Government and company representatives. The certificate is based on an innovative smallholder approach, which was developed as part of the Berbak Green Prosperity project co-funded by MCA Indonesia and supported by Mott MacDonald.

The event was moderated by Dr. Erwin Widodo, who is also a representative of Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA) in Southeast Asia. A press conference was also organized during that day, so that questions from the press have been answered officially.
The event was attended by Vice Governor of Jambi, Dr. H. Fachrory Umar and Poprianto Bustami, Head of 4th Commission, Lower Parliament and Heads of Agencies of Districts of Muaro Jambi. The welcome address was given by Imron Rosadi, Head of Investment Agency followed by the opening speech from the Vice Governor. The ISCC Certificate issued by the certification body Mutuagung Lestari was handed over by the Vice Governor to Sufyan, Group Certification Manager of KUD Makarti.
Hans Smit, Head of SNV Global Palm Program and Dani Rahadian Hidayat, Palm Oil Advisor, SNV provided details of the project and how to make smallholders certification ready. Andreas Feige, Managing Director of ISCC explained the Independent Smallholder Certification concept enabling smallholder farmers to access the international market for fully traceable and deforestation free palm oil at a competitive price, taking away the need to further expand into forested areas. Sufyan of KUD Makarti shared his experience during the project and provided feedback on challenges and benefits from the farmers end. He was followed by Martinus Nata, Director, Prosympac who explained the role of the mill and gave an outlook on the mills plan in how to integrate thousands of smallholders in the near future. Bernard Alexander Riedo, Director, Asian Agri and Dr. Haskalianus Pasang, Head of Sustainability Policy and Compliance, Sinarmas gave insights in their company goals and their plans in how to extend their smallholder supply base. Last but not least Andreas Feige presented a smallholder mobile APP and the GRAS database and risk management tool which enables smallholders to receive an automated response whether their fields are eligible for certification especially regarding highly biodiverse and carbon rich areas and deforestation. Finally the participants broke out into group discussions on ISCC and ISPO certification, access to micro finance, Jambi investments and smallholder capacity building, moderated by Dr. Erwin Widodo. He also announced in his capacity as TFA representative that ISCC is in the process of becoming a TFA member.

ISCC is thankful to all the parties, who support the smallholders becoming certified and participating in the organization of the event and we strongly believe that this is just the first step of a very successful path for the independent smallholders in Indonesia.
