“It should be addressed to all parties, so that sustainable itself from all Indonesia and the institution will be perfected.” Said Minister of Industries Airlangga Hartanto. According to him, although ISPO application applied sometimes ago, still many palm oil plantations not following the sustainable palm tree certification rules. The enforcement of palm tree certification institution, according to him, was urgently to be executed as several export destination countries are becoming strict in conditioning sustainable aspects.

Mutuagung Lestari is one of ISPO certification institution appointed by the Ministry of Agriculture and ISPO Commission, supported and committed to the sustainable palm tree applications in accordance with principles and indicators as the base for audit performances. In supporting Government’s plan to enforce ISPO certification it is hoped that all palm tree companies be certified within the recommended time frame

“Speaking about accreditation, it is like the ISO 14000. So there is a consequence and if companies do not comply products cannot be sold. This should be adopted by the Government, there will be difference as the accreditation regime is not a compliance regime.” Explained Airlangga.
